The goal of this painting is to preserve. As a starting point, I created a series of models during my summer art course at UAL Chelsea. These models focused on presenting beauty through the contrast between disturbed, dynamic forms and minimalist, oriented shapes, while mimicking the textures of ruined and abandoned urban structures.
Most importantly, the strength of these models lies in allowing the creator to enjoy a process that involves no planning or precision, thereby breaking the restrictions some face as artists. Although the physical models were eventually scrapped, the core idea remains and has been transferred onto this painting. It presents similar elements and, furthermore, carries the power of ‘intentions and ideas passed down.’
