Installation painting referencing the concept of ‘time and space’. The ocean stretching endlessly towards the horizon is a metaphor of time and space. Unpredictable and continuous ‘waves’ represents the events created by time, and the body of ocean itself reflects the vast, endless nature of time and space. The combination of painting and installation is an explanation that time and space is far beyond our ability to comprehend and the insignificance of the human presence compared to it. The waves painted is a condensed idea frozen in a single frame; you do not see it. Wires connecting the painting to the cassette tape with its guts pulled out, silencing the sound of the ocean; you do not hear it. What seems like the fundamental of us vanishes into thin particles in the air when one tries to take a grasp of it, much like the ocean, it created and nurtured us, however trying to preserve it’s beauty and fully understand it is forbidden.
