The multi panel painting draws an end to the bones series, series of studying on the bones’ structures and aesthetics, while researching and depicting the theme of ‘collection and exhibition’. The process of creating involved multiple methods and mediums, including painting, sculpting, screen printing, to showcase the techniques developed along the research and create process, on the other hand, enhancing the original aesthetics of an exhibition’s composition.
The characters of an exhibition that is ‘enhanced’ are the ones that was the most attractive when seen in person, which are ‘perspectives’ and ‘labeling’. The surreal presentation of skulls in different angles, and the sculpted skull references cubism, replicating the original impression. While the numbers are created using the method suitable for reproduction, screen printing matches the industrialized way to produce images, while juxtaposing with the colors and forms of the painting, to direct attention.
