Buh?
Oil on canvas, 2025
40.5×30cm
In series with ‘first degree murder’ the painting is a form of preservation to a image that is temporary. In the digital age where everything is rapid and replaceable, it tends to have a nature of low effort and mass production of visual entertainments, the painting serves as a device of contradictory and appreciation of those temporary images. It originated from a meme of a low quality image of a dog, with a question mark inserted after to create a simplistic, alternated sense of humor, nearly too minimalist for anyone to find funny, however I personally liked the imagery. The image then painted in a ‘blurred’ style on canvas to reflect the nature of it, and the rest of the consumed materials on the internet, fast and easy to fade from the memory.
